Day 31 : Aphilas - Collective Memory Loss

January 31st, 2006 by Grant Robertson

Aphilas is a great band, and you should really check out the rest of this album on archive.org.

It’s kinda trip hopish, and very smooth.

Oh, and one month down. Thanks for sticking with us.

    Hey Grant.

Congratulations on your 1st month! cc365 has been a great addition to my day. Thanks for your dedication and great work. It must be tough posting something new each day but you make it look easy. : )

Thanks Teru! I’m glad I make it look easy.. it’s getting more difficult as time goes on.. but, it’s forcing me to find new artists, and that’s always a good thing.

There were some server issues this morning. Hopefully it’s all better now. Please let me know if it isn’t

Suggestion: before posting, rename mp3 files to a consistent format that includes the day number.

    Eg. 31-Aphilas-Collective_Memory_Loss.mp3

Including the day number in the filename (or alternatively in the ID tag) makes it possible to refer back to the relevant blog post to read more about it and find a link to the artist. It also makes it possible to sort in order of appearance, which is useful for people who might come back after a break and want to catch up, or who download the songs but don’t always listen to them till a later day.

Consistent filenaming would also make it slightly easier to start at the blog post for a song you’ve already downloaded, then find the corresponding MP3 file on your computer.

That’s a really good idea Nathan. I’ll do that from now on. Thanks!

    Hi Grant,

    I cant believe it’s been a month.
    Highlights thus far

    Brad Sucks
Scott Andrews and the Walking Birds
    Theirry Blanchard
Lisa DeBenedictis ( I find myself intrigued, and keep coming back to this piece.)
Rob Costlow ( what a find, how awesome is this guy)

Woohoo Eleven months to go or 334 potential gems to be listened to, this is so cool.
