The Death of Indieish.com Has Been Greatly Exaggerated

Uh, hi! It’s been a little quiet around here for the last few weeks, and many of you have been worried.

I’m sorry we didn’t call or write. That was so wrong of us, and we won’t do it again, we promise. The next time we’re out later than we think, we’ll so call you and let you know.

But we have news. And when I say “we” I don’t just mean me and my keyboard. Two super-fans of cc365 and Indieish.com have joined up with us to triple our coverage of Creative Commons music. Biotic and Subsystem7, who many of you know from the Black Sweater, White Cat radio show and podcast of Creative Commons music will now be regular bloggers on Indieish.

In fact, we’re going to kick this thing up a notch and go all Web 2.0 interactive kung-fu on you. No, we’re not taking on a massive AJAX redo of our site, we’re doing this old school. I invite anyone who loves Indiesh.com to register for an account, and post whatever you like, whenever you like as long as it relates to the progressive domination of the world by Creative Commons means.

So, what are you waiting for? You love us, we love you.. why not make it official?

So how do we post stuff? I have lots of CC music I want to recommend. I registered. Now what? Is there a message board or something and I am not seeing it?

Fantastic, registered and looking forward to cc365 resuming!

Was starting to think you’d been in an accident or something.

This long-time lurker is very glad you’re back :)

Okay, so I registered. Now what? :)

By the way Miga is a netlabel with CC licensed music on it, but lots of artists, so there should be enough for a few weeks in here: http://www.miga-label.org/eng/releases.htm

“The next time we’re out later than we think, we’ll so call you and let you know.”

All it takes is one phone call. Jeez you kids. We were about to call the cops. ; )

Biotic and Subsystem7 are awesome!!! They’re CC super heroes (or villans, depending on how you look at it). Great news.

Just wondering why my comment has not been added yet? When others who posted after me have been moderated already? I am just looking for an answer to the question. Thanks. Here was my original post: So how do we post stuff? I have lots of CC music I want to recommend. I registered. Now what? Is there a message board or something and I am not seeing it?

Ficbot and others… It’s not quite _that_ web 2.0 ish.. you’ll need to contact me to get set up to post. Alternately, I’m working on a seperate project that will allow more free and open posting (think WebJay + CChits et al). It should be ready within the next month, and will work with the login you sign up for now. So, if you’ve signed up, hang tight.. If you haven’t signed up, go do it now!

Cool, thanks for the reply. Have you got an email where you would like submissions sent? I really would love to get more music and have some to share if others can share too. I thank you for introducing me to creative commons in the first place! I would never have found out about it if it were not for the post on boingboing about this blog. Please keep us posted on the new developments!

Just one question, will the 143-165 gap get filled? Because I’m looking at the directory where I am storing the cc365 mp3s, and there’s this ugly gap. I understand that just moving on is perhaps the best thing, but could there perhaps be 22 extra tracks in January 2007 to fill the gap? :)

Hey Bjorn, Yes, that was kind of what we were thinking. Some extra CC love in the dark days of January. Would that work for you?

    That sounds prefect.
