Dabney Morris makes progressive eclectic Rock or folky Pop (take your pick) with a classical string quartet. I don’t listen to music like this much anymore but the strings got me hooked.

Available from Steal My Music under a Free Distribute license (both) which I had never heard of so I thought it would make this post twice as interesting.

I know I’m a month late to tell you this, but this is a tremendous discovery — visit the website, listen to more, the goodness just keeps on coming. cc365 has introduced me to a lot of great artists, but is my favorite so far.

By the way, buried deep within that Free Distribute site is an explanation that “Version one of the Free Distribute licensing method uses the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License.” So it sounds like at this point, “Free Distribute” is just another way of saying “CC-BY-2.5″
