The most unique band I saw at Sappyfest is called The Singing Saw Shadow Show. I saw a few members playing in an afternoon show and then experienced the full production in the evening. A small tent was set up in the middle of the bar with only part of one side open. As light and shadow played on the walls the tent, the most mysterious and wonderful sounds came out of tent, with singing saws providing a very distinctive voice and tone. It’s hard to describe, so I’ll let you read how they describe themselves:
seven singing saws singing songs with shadows slightly slanted. sweeping melodies of sing-songs to swing slowly through sleep. saddened sacred scenery on a saguinary seaside seance with seersucker suits. sedated samovar sect with semantic semaphore shadows - silent sidereal silhouette. segue - second simple senile sensual semitone semblances. septet - a sleepwalking soliloquy, sonorous spasmodic spatial surrealists.
The song “I Hope You Do” will give you a hint of the beauty that awaits at a show and it’s the Creative Commons debut for the Toronto-based saw septet.

Very interesting sound, perhaps ripe for remix, but I don’t know if that is allowed.
Which CC license are they using for the track? I don’t see any indication anywhere.
It would be Attribution-NoDerivs for this.
